Meet The Doctors

Choosing a dental office is about more than finding a place to get your teeth cleaned. It is about finding people you trust, a team that listens, and doctors who take time to explain what they see and why it matters. At Jen Kim Dentistry, our doctors are known for being thorough, patient-focused, and committed to doing things right the first time. From a child’s first visit to adult restorative care, we want every appointment to feel clear, comfortable, and supportive in Kirkland, WA.

Our Office

Our practice was established with a simple philosophy: quality care takes time, and patients deserve to feel heard. We intentionally allow ample time during treatment so appointments are not rushed. We also value one-on-one communication, especially during the new patient exam, so you can ask questions, understand your options, and feel confident about your care plan.

Patients often tell us they appreciate how thorough we are. We believe that great dentistry includes education, transparency, and partnership. When you can see what we see and understand the “why” behind recommendations, decisions feel easier, and long-term oral health becomes more achievable. What you can expect from our approach:

  • Unrushed care: We allow time to deliver careful, detailed treatment.
  • Clear explanations: We walk you through findings and recommendations in plain language.
  • Partnership mindset: We work with you to support your long-term oral health goals.
  • Comfort focus: We prioritize a calm, respectful experience at every visit.

Dr. Jen Kim

“My story is simple. I love being a dentist. Day in and day out, I get to do what I have fun doing, and it is truly a blessing to have a career where I get to build and maintain great relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds. I especially love seeing my young patients grow up, get taller than me (not hard to do), and go off to college or start working. I feel like a part of the patient’s family, and the patients are definitely a part of our family.”

Dr. Jen Kim grew up in Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in cell and molecular biology. She received her degree in dental surgery from Creighton University before returning home to start her practice. Dr. Kim is an avid learner and loves that dentistry continues to evolve with new techniques and technologies. She is committed to excellence and continues her dental education by regularly attending advanced dental courses.

Dr. Kim also looks for meaningful ways to serve the community through dentistry. Locally, she provided dental treatment to underprivileged children for many years and enjoys visiting schools to educate children on the importance of dental care. Globally, she has traveled to Kenya and India with medical and dental mission teams to provide care to those in need. She remains dedicated to serving both local and global communities.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kim loves traveling and spending time with her husband and son, Nikolas. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you feel right at home at your next visit. Highlights from Dr. Kim’s background:
